Winter Wonderland

Over the past couple of months I have been lucky enough to have been travelling around Europe visiting a few of our partners and I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone I've seen.  A special big thanks to those in the Ukraine who I met while visiting the schools and the fabulous kids there:

We're due to be visiting some other schools around Europe soon, if you would like us to visit you - please just email me with the details and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Now, plans are in the final stages and we're looking forward to our new clients this summer.  For more details, please visit our website.

Easter time!  Hope everyone has a lovely holiday,
Principal - Marlowe English.

New Year - New School!

I'm absolutely delighted to say we have confirmed a new relationship with Sir Roger Manwood's School, Sandwich, Kent for the coming season - and we will be opening up for 7 weeks.  Courses are for 12-17 year olds, and I have some very special members of staff lined up to make it one of the best (if not, THE best) junior summer schools in the UK.  Exciting times!  Marlowe English will also be offering some very exclusive adult courses this year too, and as a follower of my blog, you can get a free weeks' study* if you email the code: PTBLOG0601 to info@marloweenglish.com before Jan 31st.  Hope to see you in August!

Wow. After a very hectic time in Spain it’s now the turn of Germany, thanks to the wonderful Ozzie who is working with me in Berlin. Marlowe English now have representatives in Madrid, Valladolid, Barcelona, Valencia, Berlin, Paris, Riga, Rome, Milan and we should have some more across Europe in the coming weeks – but, as ever you can contact us through the website or email directly for our 2010 courses.

More great news is that Marlowe English have now secured 2011 and 2012 in our lovely campus at the University Of Greenwich and will be running promotions along with the British Open Golf Championship in Sandwich for 2011, The Olympic Games in London, 2012, and with Wembley Stadium from this summer! In August, our students will have the opportunity to see Chelsea-Manchester United in England’s premier stadium (that is, if Chelsea beat Portsmouth on Saturday in the FA Cup Final!)

The Marlowe English website has added Spanish pages, and by the end of the week they will be in German too. We are also hoping for several more languages in the following weeks, plus the May promotion is running too – Followers of this Blog can receive a discount of 100€, using promotional code: TTR10 when completing the application form!

We are looking forward to seeing you all in the summer, and watch this space for further news of promotions.

Yeay! The Ash Cloud is now plane friendly

It seems I'm the lucky one. Some of the stories coming from friends and colleagues have been startling, huge bills in excess travelling costs, missed weddings and birthdays... The seven day delay in trip to Spain seems nothing. However, I am really looking forward to seeing some of my former students next week and I have also just learned that one of my favourites has just got engaged! Many congratulations Bea & Carlos, but I’m sorry I can’t come to the wedding as it’s Marlowe’s opening weekend so I will be welcoming this year’s students to our campus that weekend.

Also, while in Spain I will also be catching up with a few teachers too. I’m happy to say, as always, I am very proud of the teaching staff that will be with us in Rochester and Medway this year. The very lucky students taking the course this year are in for a real treat, that I can promise.

For those of you wishing to study with us this summer, do keep looking at our Facebook page, follow my Twitter Tweets and the website closely as there are some great savings to be made on the courses coming over the next month. Watch this space!

I will be blogging from my various hotel rooms, so keep up to date with my progress and for those of you I am seeing, make sure there are plenty of plates of Patatas Bravas ready – I will be reviewing them on this site!
